Visit Us

The ISB has an open rehearsal policy and visitors are welcome at any time to our band room. The band rehearse at The Salvation Army's UK headquarters in London on a Wednesday between 5.45pm and 8.30pm and over the years we have had visitors from all over the world (USA / Canada / Australia / Japan / Europe).

In a typical rehearsal we prepare ‘new’ music for programmes as well continuing to rehearse our current repertoire. Our Music Council meets monthly to decide which music should be printed in future publications and one of the bands functions is to play through and record new music for the music council. Often, a composer will be present to hear a new piece played through too.

You are most welcome to share the ISB rehearsal experience. We also encourage you to bring along any young person who might enjoy listening to the band or has an interest in music. If you run a music group in a school, a local centre or The Salvation Army and let us know in advance you are coming we can arrange for the students to meet and chat with members of the band before rehearsal starts.
