Mark Sharman

Mark was born in Rotherham and attended Rotherham Temple Salvation Army with his family until moving to the midlands at the age of 5. He has attended Birmingham Citadel ever since. Mark began his leadership journey at the corps as Assistant YPBL before holding the position of YPBL for 10years. After handing the reigns over, Mark then became Deputy Bandmaster; a position which he has held since 2007.  During this time he was also deputy of the Divisional Youth Band for 10 years and leader for another 7. He has been principal trombone of Birmingham Citadel Band since 2000. 

Mark is married to Laura and has 3 children. He works for a large international law firm in their finance department as a Systems Developer.
